It is a measure of our City’s widening diversity that one of my favorite “tastes” of St. Louis is Devi State’s tarkari, a vegetable curry flavored with cardamom and turmeric.
Samples of Devi’s Nepalese cuisine - and food from dozens of other great City restaurants - will be available next weekend (beginning September 29) as part of the annual Taste of St. Louis festival. This year’s Taste events at Kiener Plaza and the Gateway Mall will stretch over three days, and will include art, live music, performances, cooking competitions, a children’s fun-zone, and - of course - plenty of food.
You should make plans now to be there.
