Swimming Lessons

Five City children drowned during a church outing along the Meramec River last weekend. My thoughts and prayers are with their family and friends.

According to news reports, the children probably did not know how to swim.

I recently reminded City parents that the City Recreation Department’s eight free public pools offer swimming lessons. Since then, the parents of more than 100 children have enrolled them in swim classes. More should.
