Earlier this year, I asked Lambert Airport director Rhonda Hamm-Niebruegge to develop a plan to make the terminals smoke-free.
Although a St. Louis County ordinance specifically exempts the airport from the county's smoking ban, I asked the airport to conform to the standards observed in other public buildings operated by the City of St. Louis. By January (when the City new smoke-free ordinance goes into effect), airport employees, vendors, and travelers will find a smoke-free facility as well.
