Praxair

I met this afternoon with Wayne Yakich, the president of Praxair.

Wayne told me the company fully intends to move from Lafayette Square. I have asked my chief of staff, Jeff Rainford, to work with the company to speed up the process.

Because of the density of our residential neighborhoods, it is going to be difficult to find a location for Praxair within the City limits. So, we will be expanding our search.

We have agreed to set February 16th as a target date. That’s the same day the Board of Building Appeals is scheduled to rule on Praxair’s request for a permit to reopen at the current site.
