New York mayor Michael Bloomberg settled our friendly wager today.

He had wagered the following items on the outcome of the NLCS: Two three-foot Italian subs, a crate of ice cream, a tub of lemon ice, and two pizzas.

In retrospect, there was way too much cold stuff in the bet.

I thank the mayor, and I congratulate his NY Mets for being worthy opponents of our St. Louis Cardinals this season.
