At my most recent news conference, I answered a question for a reporter from KMOV (Channel 4). Two weeks ago, I appeared on a panel for an extended series about the St. Louis region that Channel 4 is airing. You may have watched me. According to a note on Channel 4’s website, fewer of you will be able to watch me — or any other local newsmaker next year on Channel 4 if you are a Charter Cable subscriber. That’s because a dispute between Charter and Channel 4 will knock KMOV out of the local cable line-up at the end of the month. (The dispute does not affect St. Louisans who watch Channel 4 via an antenna, or by satellite or U-Verse.) Channel 4 blames Charter on its website. Charter is silent on its. I do not pretend to know who is in the right in this argument, but I do know who loses.
