The teamʼs starting goalie tripped over a carpet being prepared to welcome a vice presidential candidate onto the ice at last nightʼs St. Louis Blues hockey game, injuring himself. This is not anything you could make up unless, perhaps, you were James Carville writing a Saturday Night Live skit.
As a fan of the very entertaining young Blues, I wish them fewer carpet bumps over the rest of the season.
