The Washington Missourian has editorialized in favor of selecting Roger Wilson as the president of the University of Missouri System. The paper argues that Roger, a former legislator and governor with a master’s degree in education from Mizzou, would be a great choice.

They note, reasonably:

Why spend time and dollars doing a nationwide search for a new president only to see him leave in four or five years? We’ve got a strong candidate who lives close to the campus who has unique qualifications for the position. There isn’t anybody out there who is equipped with the qualifications that Roger has.
I agree.
