Changing the Home Page

Regular readers will notice a slightly different face on the home page of MayorSlay.com today. I hope that the tweaked format makes it easier for you to find the work of some of the site’s great contributors.

Two of them deserve your special consideration: photo-journalist Mike DeFilippo’s Big Picture began its life on the pages of Ray Hartmann’s The Riverfront Times as a weekly chronicle of life on the City’s streets. Mike’s task now is to assemble an album of the City’s diverse communities, people, buildings, and neighborhoods. A new image is added to the Big Picture collection each Tuesday.

Field Trip is an original cartoon strip written for MayorSlay.com by Steve Edwards. Steve’s premise is that the City’s children have something important to say about the place they live and the events surrounding them. A traditionalist - at least in this matter - Steve adds a new cartoon every Sunday morning.

Mike and Steve are both smart, talented local artists. You’ll enjoy their work.
