I will sign Board Bill 67, approved by the Board of Aldermen on Friday, into law. It is another basic protection for our City's residents and visitors against discrimination in housing, public accommodation, and employment. We are a diverse municipality, increasingly so. This tweak of our civil rights legislation correctly adds gender identity to the list of protected categories. Alderman Shane Cohn and his co-sponsors deserve the community's thanks for crafting and explaining this bill.
