Last week, travelers along I-44 and people hoping to cross the highway at Arsenal likely noticed that the bridge there had reopened. Its closure had been an inconvenience since this early this year. Its return to service by the Missouri Department of Transportation is welcome.
The Arsenal Street bridge was a hard driven 40 years old. The work, which is not quite finished, improved an offramp, replaced the bridge deck, and added some lights. There are dozens of similar infrastructure projects around the city waiting on the time and money to get them done. I am glad to able to check this one off the list.
