It’s no secret that Kim and I love dogs — and that we both hate the conditions at the City animal shelter. The current shelter is old, poorly ventilated, run-down, and under-equipped. As a result, animal adoptions lag, animal euthanasia increases, and more feral animals roam the streets.
Animal House, a private, non-profit organization, is committed to raising the money to build a new, state-of-the-art animal shelter.
To help them do that, Kim and I will be the honorary chairs of a fundraising event for Animal House on Thursday, March 16, at the Contemporary Art Museum. The event is called “Dress to the Canines” and will feature what event spokeswoman Jessica Carten calls “a celebrity and pet fashion show.”
