Project Homeless Connect

Mayor Francis G. Slay will join Philip Mangano, Executive Director of the U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness, East St. Louis Mayor Alvin Parks, Jr. and William Siedhoff, Director of Human Services, on Wednesday, December 3, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. to speak at the city's 4th Annual National Project Homeless Connect. This one day event links homeless people to services at a central location, this year being held at Harris-Stowe State University. Since 2005, the event has provided services to over 1,000 people. This year's event is expected to draw over 400 homeless people.
