We’ve all known for a while that the reconstruction of Highway 40/I-64 was going to disrupt our lives and routines over the short-term.
This weekend is a good (bad?) example.
In order to get the Hampton Avenue bridge down and cleared away over the weekend, MODOT crews will be working throughout the night with their heavy equipment. This will be very noisy, but necessary.
Most of the loudest noise at the bridge should end by Sunday morning. The entire bridge demolition is scheduled to be finished by Monday morning.
Short-term disruption.
