Mayor Francis G. Slay and the St. Louis Development Corporation (SLDC) presented the City's annual business awards today at the 2012 City of St. Louis Business Celebration Luncheon.
Mayor Slay, along with Rodney Crim, executive director of SLDC, presented the awards in the following categories:
Businesses of the Year
Neighborhood Businesses of the Year
Developers/Developments of the Year
Quality of Life Awards
Minority Contractors Initiative
Mayor's Awards
The City of St. Louis Business Celebration Luncheon began in 2002 as a way to thank the business community for its commitment to the City. Approximately 1,000 guests attended the luncheon, which was held at the Renaissance Grand Hotel.
Major sponsors of the 2012 City of St. Louis Business Celebration Luncheon were: Ameren Missouri, Beelman River Terminals, Centene Corp., Express Scripts, Hilliker Corp., Lumiere Place, Mallinckrodt, Peabody Energy, and Wells Fargo Advisors. Other sponsors included AT&T, BJC Healthcare, Edward Jones, First Bank, Gilmore & Bell, GJ Grewe Inc., GreenStreet Development Group, Procter & Gamble, PARIC Corp., and Thompson Coburn.
