Any day that promoter Don King is in town will make the news in this space.

Mr. King was in St. Louis to formally announce a championship boxing twin bill at Scottrade Center on March 27 featuring St. Louis fighters Cory Spinks and Devon Alexander.

Spinks will defend his IBF junior middleweight championship belt against former champion Verno Phillips while Alexander, a WBC champion, will take on Miguel Callist, one of the WBA champions.
